Montreal, Canada – Embvue Inc., (embvue.com) – a leading provider of products and services for embedded systems testing, embedded system development, cyber security and safe Ethernet markets, announced today that it is broadening the reach of its Generator and Generator-RTC tools and offering live demonstrations of its Generator-RTC tool to anyone interested in improving the quality of their embedded systems, whilst at the same time reducing the cost, risk and time to market of those systems.

Following Embvue’s successful launch of Generator in September 2010 and Generator-RTC in February of this year in the aerospace and defense markets, Embvue has been further enhancing the tools to ensure that they service the needs of those markets, and on the much larger embedded systems test market as a whole.

Generator is a powerful system-level tool suite that enables efficient, automated, requirements-based testing of any electronics system, sub-system or software module. Generator-RTC is available either as a standalone tool or as the front end to the Generator tool suite.
Generator-RTC allows customers to focus their resources on producing a set of well structured, unambiguous requirements very early in the project. Once these requirements are defined, Generator-RTC then automatically produces the test case truth tables, 100% of all required test cases and the test documentation required in mere minutes. Customers have the ability to select the level of test cases produced, from DC tests only, up through full MC/DC with full robustness. Traceability is maintained throughout and Generator-RTC ensures that there are no redundant, missing, incomplete or incorrect test cases.

The Generator tool suite enables huge bottom line savings to businesses. On real project applications of Generator-RTC in the aerospace and defense market Embvue has demonstrated savings of more than 90% in the requirements-to-test-case part of the development lifecycle alone, more than 95% in the management of requirements change, and more than 30% in overall requirements-based testing costs. In addition to these cost savings, using Generator-RTC means that product testing can be initiated very early in the development phase, ensuring the early detection of errors when they are cheaper to fix, which in turn leads to significantly better quality and lower support costs.

“On the back of our success with Generator and Generator-RTC in the safety critical aerospace and defense markets that we traditionally serve, we are now offering the same value to the considerably broader embedded systems market,” said Phil Cole, VP Sales and Marketing at Embvue. “These tools are applicable to anyone who is performing requirements-based testing of embedded systems or embedded software, regardless of their market. Whether customers are specifying, designing, producing, integrating, testing, verifying, validating, or certifying (to any process-driven standard), embedded systems or software, our tools provide enormous measurable value.”

Embvue does not expect customers to replace existing processes or tools with Generator and Generator-RTC. Embvue works with its customers to integrate its tools with existing, in-place, tools and into existing processes in order to augment them.

Embvue is currently scheduling and conducting live demonstrations of Generator-RTC to demonstrate ease of use, functionality, and value and encourages anyone who has an interest in having such a demonstration to make contact either directly or via Embvue’s website to schedule one with us.
